Sam Cook of Carson City shot his first hole-in-one on Saturday at Eagle Valley Golf Course.
He was playing on the East course's fourth hole, using a 7-iron. He was shooting from the white tee.
As his friend Noel C. Rudd said, "the ball took one hop and went into the hole."
