Cutthroat season is open at Catnip

The 2006 fishing season for Catnip Reservoir opened Sept. 1 and will remain open through Nov. 15.

The reservoir is located within the Charles Sheldon Antelope Range in Northeastern Washoe County, and it contains Lahontan cutthroat trout.

Fishing is permitted any hour of the day or night during the special season.

The limit is zero trout (catch and release only).

Only artificial flies and lures with single barbless hooks may be used.
