A memorial for Doris Mae Rogers, 80, a former Carson City resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Georgetown Community United Methodist Church, 2853 Church St., in Georgetown, Calif.

A gathering of fellowship and support will follow the service.

Mrs. Rogers died Sept. 13, 2006, in Garden Valley, Calif. She was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Amsterdam, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Rogers, and sons, Christopher L. Rogers, Bruce E. Rogers, James F. Rogers and Scott E. Rogers.

At the time of her death, Mrs. Rogers was a resident of Garden Valley. Before that, she lived in San Jose, Calif..

She worked for County Bank of Santa Cruz until her retirement in the mid-1980s, when she and her husband retired to Carson City

Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Carson City Raiders Booster Club. She enjoyed nature, wild animals, watching the night sky and spending time with her family and friends.

Among her survivors are her sons and daughters in-law Alan C. and Bonnie Rogers of Carson City, Robert S. and Earlene Rogers, and Charles H. and Susan Rogers; daughter and son in-law, Sharon Rogers Day and Ron Day; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
