Results from Quail Runs' putt contest

Eighteen teams competed in the Quail Run Senior Community's two-person alternate putting tournament held on Saturday on a par-34 course behind Quail Run's club house. The youngest competitor was 55-years-old and the oldest was 86. Results were:

First - Bob and Marlene Dixon 36; second - Russ and Karen Mead 37; third - Phil and Pauline Polaske and Leatha Old and Harlynn Wilkinson 38.

Empire Ranch to host putting event

The Empire Ranch Senior Men's Golf Club will host a two-person alternate putting tournament on Oct. 21 at Empire Ranch.

Cost will be $10 per team. All proceeds will go to Toys for Tots. The tournament will be limited to the first 100 teams who enter and prizes will be awarded. For more information, call the Empire Ranch pro shop, 885-2100.

Williams wins Harley class in Vibrations

Carson City's Michael Williams was one of the winners in this week's Street Vibrations Reno event in the all Harley Davidson ride-in competion. Williams won the Sportster class.
