Harry Wayne Manning, 86, a four-year Gardnerville resident, died Sept. 21, 2006, at Evergreen Nursing Home.
Mr. Manning was born July 26, 1920, in Salt Lake City to Benard and Mabel Manning.
Before moving to Gardnerville, Mr. Manning lived in Encinitas, Calif.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service, and had served in the U.S. Navy.
He belonged to the Elks Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hildie Manning, in 1997 in Encinitas, Calif.
Among his survivors are his son, John Wayne Manning of Gardnerville; daughters Cindy Lee Yeoman of Laramie, Wyo., and Bonnie Carol Manning of Gardnerville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Northern Nevada Memorial Service in Reno is in charge of arrangements.
