CARSON CITY

The lunch menu for the Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Dr.:

Monday: Ham steak, scalloped potatoes, steamed broccoli, pineapple, peach cobbler, whole-wheat bread.

Tuesday: Chicken-pot pie, buttermilk biscuit, spring-mix salad, banana, Jell-O with whip topping.

Wednesday: Beef stir-fry, steamed rice, stir-fry vegetables, mandarin oranges, whole-wheat bread, margarine, fish chowder.

Thursday: Eggplant Parmesan, spinach linguine, carrot-raisin salad, orange juice, fruited yogurt, garlic bread.

Friday: Roast turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, honey-dill carrots, peaches, cranberry sauce, cake and ice cream.

DAYTON

The lunch menu for the Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

Monday: Chicken with mushroom sauce, stuffing, mixed veggies, ambrosia salad, bread with butter.

Tuesday: Ham, steamed cabbage, yams, plums, cookies, bread with butter.

Wednesday: Hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes with gravy, bread, blushing pears, cucumber-tomato-onion salad.

Thursday: Hamburger steak with gravy, peas, apricots, Tater Tots, bread with butter.

Friday: Senior picnic from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. (center will be closed).

DOUGLAS COUNTY

The lunch menu for the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane:

Monday: Turkey-stuffing casserole, mixed-green salad, cranberry sauce, seven-grain roll, cookie.

Tuesday: Beef stir-fry, white rice, beet salad, whole-wheat bread with margarine, mandarin orange.

Wednesday: Baked fish, parsley butter, new potato, seasoned zucchini, Waldorf salad, whole-wheat roll with apple butter, cantaloupe chunks.

Thursday: Hot roast beef with cheddar on wheat bun, green salad, potato rounds, fruit cup.

Friday: Chicken enchiladas, refried beans, shredded lettuce and tomato, sour cream, salsa, banana pudding.

SILVER SPRINGS

The dinner menu for the Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Ave.:

Monday: Chili burgers, beans, broccoli, apricots, cheese and onions.

Tuesday: Steak dinner, potato, green salad, pineapple-cherry cake and ice cream.

Wednesday: Veal cutlet, cream potatoes with peas, carrots, fruit cocktail, Jell-O, bread with butter.

Thursday: Southwestern casserole, corn and onions, mandarin oranges, cornbread.

Friday: Lyon County senior picnic, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Lahontan State Park Day Use Area 2.

STOREY COUNTY

The Storey County Senior Citizens Center is located on the corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:

Monday: Egg scramble, O'Brien potatoes, biscuit, fruit.

Tuesday: Turkey chili, cornbread, mixed-green salad with Italian dressing, ambrosia.

Wednesday: Brandi's Chicken Acapulco over noodles, beet salad, carrots, cake.

Thursday: Baked meatloaf, mashed potatoes, spinach, salad with French dressing, whole-wheat bread, Chantilly fruit cup.

Friday: Veracruz cod over rice, Mandarin orange salad, whole-wheat roll, ice cream sandwich.

FERNLEY

Lunch served weekdays at Fernley Center, 1170 W. Newlands Dr.:

Monday: Hamburgers, Tater Tots, peas, pineapple.

Tuesday: Chicken and dumplings, broccoli, peaches, cake.

Wednesday: Cook's choice dinner, baked potato, pears, roll with butter, peaches, cake.

Thursday: Tuna-noodle casserole, mixed veggies, roll with butter, fruit cobbler.

Friday: Lyon County senior picnic at Lahontan Park, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
