What we do: We are a full-service floral and gift shop with a twist. We are also an Italian café open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Why this field interests me: We saw this concept 10 years ago and decided we needed to do it here.

Why I opened my business in Carson City: We have family and a lot of friends in this area.

Our credentials: Mike was a regional director for restaurants for 18 years, and I have done floral design for more than 30 years. I've won awards for floral design in Beverly Hills.

My family: Mike and I have been married for almost 25 years. Our café is named after our son, Khristopher, who is 15. He works here doing everything while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

My life motto: Love, live and laugh... life is to short not too!

My favorite types of flowers and gifts: Unusual and unique. I love a good challenge. When someone doesn't want the everyday flowers or arrangements, we show them the best and freshest around.

How I keep my flowers fresh: Keep them in clear, clean water and glass vases, so you can see how fresh they are.
