Jerald "Jack" A. Bohlender, 73, a 12-year Carson City resident, died Sept. 19, 2006, at his home in Carson City.

Mr. Bohlender was born July 10, 1933 in Greeley, Colo., to Gottlieb Bohlender and Winnie Miner.

He married Joyce Swetzig Sept. 21, 1952, in Greeley, Colo.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Bohlender lived in Greeley.

He was a graduate of Greeley High School, and a dairy farmer in Colorado, Nebraska and Texas.

He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper.

He was preceded in death by his wife May 30, 2006 in Carson City.

Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Debi Bohlender of Carson City; sister, Lila Jean Stewart of Longmont, Colo.; brothers Jay Bohlender of Dalhart, Texas and Jim Bohlender of Lamar, Neb.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 11 nieces; and 7 nephews.

A joint service for Mr. and Mrs. Bohlender will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 12.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
