A funeral for Rena Anthony, 78, a Markleeville resident, will be 1 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville. Viewing will be 1-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Ms. Anthony died April 2, 2007, in Carson City. She was born Dec. 11, 1928, in Markleeville to John and May Longabough Anthony.
Before moving to Markleeville, Ms. Anthony lived in Gardnerville.
She worked as a housekeeper.
Among her survivors are sisters Ninga Anthony and Madelina Henry, both of Markleeville; niece Nadine Weller of Carson City; nephew James Anthony of Markleeville and many extended-family members.
Burial will take place at the Woodfords Indian Cemetery in Woodfords, Calif.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
