Van Eades, 72, a 31-year Carson City resident, died April 22, 2007, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Eades was born June 8, 1934, to Grady and Beulah Eades in Washington, Okla.
Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Eades lived in Sacramento.
He married Barbara Kessler on Nov. 20, 1966, in Carson City.
He graduated from Grass Valley High School and worked in auto sales for 50 years. He was the former owner of Carson Datsun-AMC-Jeep.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and yard work.
Among his survivors are his wife; son Michael Eades of North Highlands, Calif.; daughters Kelly Medrono of Sacramento, and Kim Eades of North Highlands, Calif.; stepsons Michael Kessler of Pollock Pines, Calif., and Mark Kessler of Woodland, Calif.; sisters LaVerne Phillips of Bullhead City, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
The Neptune Society of Reno is in charge of arrangements.
