Michael George Winters was born on March 13, 1942 in Portland, Oregon to Diana Elaine (Leidecker) and Paul Ellis Winters. He passed away on November 17, 2007 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 65.
As a boy he moved to Reno, Nevada and finished school there. He went on to graduate from college in Sacramento, California. On February 14, 1987, Michael married Lynn Altringer in Virginia City, Nevada. In June of 2007, the couple moved from Carson City, Nevada to Timber Valley, Washington. Mr. Winters made his living as a truck driver. Even as a young boy living in Reno, he loved driving. Michael also enjoyed riding Harleys and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Lynn of Timber Valley; sons, Tim Winters of West Sacramento, Calif. and Mark Texeira of Castro Valley, Calif.; daughter Kelly Winters of West Sacramento; sons and daughters-in-law Michael (Sheri) Texeira of Pittsburg, Calif., and Aaron (Deborah) Texeira of San Leandro, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5 at Cascade Pioneer Cemetery in North Bonneville, Washington. Gardner Funeral Home handled arrangements.
