Gov. Jim Gibbons appointed Renee West to a two-year term on the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners. West is president and chief operating officer of the Excalibur Hotel/Casino. Prior to joining Excalibur, she had held senior positions at Caesars Palace and Station Casinos. She holds an honorary doctorate from Southern Utah University. She replaces Marlene Kirch.
