Donna M. Foster, 71, a 16-year Carson City resident, died Aug. 16, 2007.
She was born Sept. 24, 1935, to Edgar and Geneva Johnston in Ponca City, Okla. She married Joe E. Foster July 6, 1962, in Ft. Worth, Texas. She lived in Tracy, Calif., prior to moving to Carson City and was secretary for the Tracy School District for 22 years, retiring in 1985. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, working jigsaw puzzles, and her Pekingese dogs. She was a member of the California School Employees Association and past president of the Tracy Employees Association Chapter. She was an honorary life member of the Tracy Parent Teachers Association. She was a member of the Tracy Band Boosters.
Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Parker.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; stepson and daughter-in-law Joe E. Jr. and Lisa of Carson City; stepdaughter Daneen Foster of Dallas; half-sister Karen Hoffmeyer of Green Haven, Ariz.; half-brother John Johnston of Baton Rouge, La.; and granddaughter Meredith Jo Foster of Sherman, Texas.
Services will be held at a later date in Tracy.
