A rosary for Mary Rose Tapp, 85, a 32-year resident of Carson City will be at 7 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. A funeral Mass at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church will be 10 a.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Tapp died Aug. 19, 2007, in Carson City. She was born May 1, 1922, to Roy and Rosetta Travis in Mound City, Mo. She married Joseph Tapp in 1943 in Sparks. Before moving to Carson City she lived in Ely.

Mrs. Tapp was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by sisters Lucille Graff, Katy Rich, Hazel Travis, Doris Reynolds and Betty Travis and brother Pete Travis.

Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; daughters and sons-in-law Nora and John Monfredini of San Francisco, Cathy and Jerry Vandeburgt of Reno; daughter Cindy Tapp of Dayton; son and daughter-in-law Tim and Diana Tapp of Reno; son Larry Tapp of Carson City; sister and brother-in-law Vera and Ralph Duncan of Colorado, sisters Helen Riley and Ruth Harris both of Mound City; brother and sister-in-law Dean and Sue Travis of Phoenix,; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
