A wildland fire burning on top of the hill in the area of Jack Wright Pass was reported at 2:46 p.m. Monday.
Initial reports are that the fire was caused by a lightning strike near the border of Lyon and Douglas counties and is burning at about 25 yards in diameter and growing.
