A memorial service for Kirk "Tony" Anthony Cotroneo, 49, a 25-year resident of Carson City will be 11:30 a.m. Sept. 8 at Capital Christian Center.

Mr. Cotroneo died Aug. 25, 2007, at Renown Hospital in Reno. He was born June 2, 1958, to Frank A. Cotroneo and Edna Healey in Rolla, Mo.

He married Sydney Swanson Aug. 15, 1981, in Carson City. He was a Carson High School graduate. He was a professional long/short haul truck driver for 16 years. He received many driving awards.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He belonged to various motorcycle clubs. He was on the Board of Directors for Ormsby ARC and co-founder of "This May Never Happen Again" motorcycle ride for charity.

Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; children, Doug and Melia Solstad; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Char Cotroneo of Ukiah, Calif.; brothers, Kelly Cotroneo of Reno and Woody Healey of Dayton; four grandchildren; four nephews and three nieces.

Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.
