CAHI to be in new office by end of September

Citizens for Affordable Homes Inc. (CAHI) has found a new office and will be moved into it by the end of September.

Interim Lyon County Manager Bob Hadfield said he got a copy of a lease from the group for an office at the corner of Roop Street and Fairview Drive in Carson City, so he is extending the time it has to move.

The group was supposed to be out of its current office in a residential zone by the end of August.

CAHI, which helps low-income families build their homes, currently has its office near an addition of its homes on Pine Cone Road in Dayton. It has had two requests for a zone change turned down by Lyon County.
