Happy New Year to each of you and if you are looking for some fun for New Year's Eve and like to bowl, the Gold Dust West Bowling Center is featuring a fun party. Starting at 7 p.m. you can join the fun with bowling in the dark, raffle prizes, appetizers buffet, dessert and a toast of champagne at midnight. I don't think I can bowl that well with the lights out but I was assured the lanes will be visible for the bowlers to see the Double Monte Carlo, 9-pin No-tap colored pins.

Once again thanks to the generosity of Dick Campagni's Carson City Toyota/Scion you can win a 2008 Toyota Corolla LE. The event is an annual event to assist the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center. Local doctors in town donate their time as bartenders, waiters and hostesses at the Celebrity Docs Caring for the Center at Glen Eagles Restaurant. The event is not held until June 28, but you can start purchasing those tickets soon and only 3,000 will be sold. Get your lucky ticket. They are $20 a piece or 6 for $100. Start the New Year out helping a great local center and win a new car.
