Geraldine Florence Richey

Passed away Dec. 26, 2007 at 7:10 a.m. Born on Oct. 9, 1928 in Los Angeles, Calif. to Harold and Florence Barlow.

Geraldine "Gerry" is survived by her loving husband Elmer G. Richey and sons, Ronald Alan Bearup, John Michael Fleming and sister Marilyn J. Stephens.

Gerry and Elmer moved to Carson City from Southern California in 1979 where they blended into the community being active in antiques and collectibles. From 1980 to 1990 she worked for a local company, Vinyl Products as the accounting supervisor. In 1990 after developing health problems she retired. In her golden years you could find Gerry most Sundays at the Peppermill in Reno at her favorite penny or nickel machines. Gerry was well liked by the Peppermill staff and many at the Carson City Nugget buffet where she and Elmer ate once a week and on most holidays.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Autumn Funerals located at 1575 N. Lompa Lane, Carson City with the funeral service being held on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. Internment will be at the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City.
