The Dayton High boys basketball team continued to look impressive as it heads into the postseason, winning 55-38 at Truckee on Wednesday.

Dayton (22-3, 15-0) has already clinched the Northern 3A's No. 1 seed going into the playoffs with one game left in the regular season.

"We're heading where we want to be especially defensively," Dayton coach T.W. Cunningham said. "We did a great job of cutting turnovers. We didn't have that many."

Dayton led 12-10 after one quarter, then took control in the second and third periods. The Dust Devils were able to rest their starters in the fourth quarter.

"Our second tame played the whole fourth quarter and did a great job," Cunningham said.

Mike Vincent scored 15 points and Travis Wood added nine points for Dayton.
