A memorial service for Linne Charles Larson, 74, a Reno resident, will be 11 a.m. today at the Reno Baptist Church, 6780 S. McCarran Drive, Reno.

Mr. Larson died Feb. 2, 2007, in Reno.

He was born Aug. 21, 1932, in Los Angeles to Linne Charles Sr. and Ruth Palmer Larson.

He married Eleanor LeVern Larson in 1952 in Los Angeles.

Before moving to Reno, Mr. Larson lived in Carson City for 20 years.

He was a jet pilot, a high school physical education teacher, and a business owner. He owned the Dutch Mill restaurant in Carson City.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a first lieutenant.

He belonged to the South Reno Baptist Church, and enjoyed woodworking, metal working, bead making and painting.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Among his survivors are his wife; children Kelly Ellen Woods and Daniel Scott Larson; two granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary in Reno is in charge of arrangements.
