Three names were drawn on Tuesday morning, Feb. 6, for a raffle sponsored by the Carson City Sheriff's Mounted Police Unit.

The raffle was for an all-expense-paid, nine-day, guided, horseback hunt for elk and deer in Montana.

Each of the three winners will be able to take along a companion, who will also have that same all-expense-paid, nine-day, fully guided hunting trip.

Each of the six will receive $3,650 for the hunt, $1,000 for guaranteed hunting license and necessary tags, $500 for travel expenses and $400 for pocket money for a grand total of $5,550 per person.

The hunts are scheduled for fall 2007 with the White Tail Ranch (WTR) Outfitters LLC of Ovando, Montana.

The three names are:

1. John Bradshaw

935 Sweetwater

Gardnerville, NV 89410

2. Javier Ortega

1690 Harvest Creek

Fernley, NV 89408

3. Mike Vacha

2919 Johnstone Lane

Marion, Virginia

Note: The raffle did not raise the total monies necessary for the six hunts.

If you would like to donate to offset the cost, you are asked to contact Sheriff's Deputy Joe Bruno at 8877-2020, ex. 8901.
