The Airport Authority meets tonight

The Carson City Airport Authority meets at 6 p.m. today in the airport Terminal Building, 2600 E. College Pkwy.

Topics include airport ground security and whether there are any needs to revise any requests for funds from the Federal Aviation Administration.

Schedule changes at community center

The Democratic presidential candidate forum at the Carson City Community Center on Feb. 21 will cause some inconvenience for those who rely on programs held there. The center will be shut down to the public for security reasons.

• Aerobics and other classes, as well as regular children's programs, must move out of the building for the day.

• The Kinder Program will move to the Kids Club.

• The Kids' Club and morning Latch Key programs will move to the Carson City Library.

• Parents will be notified of the changes by mail.

Psychologist talks about campus life

Dr. Erin Oksol, a clinical psychologist, will be giving a free lecture titled "Mental Health on the College Campus: Challenges and opportunities" from 7-9 tonight at WNCC's Marlette Hall.

The Carson City Library Board of Trustees will meet 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium of the Carson City Library, 900 N. Roop St.

Topics include the discussion and possible actions on annual evaluation process of the library director's job performance and planning a library election ballot initiative.

High Desert diving club to meet Wednesday

The High Desert Divers Dive Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grandma Hattie's, 2188 S. Carson St.

Local scuba instructor and underwater photographer Rich Jeffries will be discussing the use of digital photography underwater and will display some of his work.

The Carson City Senior Citizens Center will be holding a class on how to preserve photographs in albums at 10 a.m. Thursday in its Jobs Peak Room.

Watercoloring class at Douglas senior center Wednesday

There will be a watercolor class from 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday at the Douglas County Senior Center in Gardnerville.
