The Ormsby Sportsmen's Association (OSA), a local organization for hunters and fishermen, will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Carson Nugget Convention Center.
The evening will feature Vanessa Conrad of Reno with Great Basin Mine Watch. Her presentation will be on the mineral Mercury in Nevada's waters.
OSA meets on the third Tuesday of each month for the months of January-May, has outdoor picnics in June-September and is back indoors in October and November. There is no regular meeting in December.
All OSA meetings, functions and activities are free of charge and open to all club members and to anyone else who is interested in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, etc.
Annual dues are $5 for adults and $2 for youngsters under the age of 16.
The 2007 fishing contest for members is currently under way and will run until late November. Only paid up members are eligible, the cost is $10 per person with cash prizes for first, second and third place in a number of different fish categories.
