Victor Centro, 82, a two-year resident of Fairfield, Iowa, died Jan. 7, 2007, in Fairfield.

Mr. Centro was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Vancouver, B.C., to Anthony Centro and Mary Popolo.

He married Nancy Johnson Marchesi in 1977 in Carson City.

Before moving to Fairfield Mr. Centro lived in Carson City from 1973-2003.

He was a professional jazz accordionist and a music teacher. He belonged to the Vancouver Musicians Union and the Nevada Musicians Union.

He enjoyed computer games, golf and chess.

He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Gregory Centro; brother, Joseph Centro; and granddaughter Kally Mae Wright.

Among his survivors are his daughters Cathy Centro of Huntsville, Ontario, and Nancy McDowell of Burnaby, B.C.; stepdaughters Charlotte Wright of Iowa City, Iowa, and Jan Wright of Ashland, Ore.; stepsons Greg Wright of Bakersfield, Calif., and Greg Wright of Rexburg, Idaho.

At his request there will be no services.
