BAC kicks off membership drive with raffle
The Brewery Arts Center has kicked off its membership drive, which runs through Feb. 19. New members and those renewing or upgrading memberships will receive a chance to win the center's only Season Pass for Two, which offers two admissions to all BAC-sponsored events.
Membership levels begin at $40 for individuals ($30 for seniors and students) and go up to $5,000 for Gold Level. Call 883-1976.
Telcom Pioneers meet Tuesday
The Telcom Pioneers will be holding their monthly lunch meeting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Beijing Palace in Carson City. The nonprofit group is open to all current, past and retired Telcom persons and their guests. Call 882-5205.
Dog-obedience classes at Fuji Park
Guy Yeaman will hold another six-week series of dog-obedience classes every Tuesday at 6:30, starting this week at the Fuji Park Exhibit Hall.
Cost is $75, and every dog must have a choke chain, a fabric or leather lead, be current on its shots, and be at least 4 months old. Call 265-4530.
'Lend Me A Tenor' auditions today
Proscenium Players will be holding auditions for "Lend Me A Tenor," the third show of their 2006-07 season, at 7 p.m. today at the Brewery Arts Center Ballroom, 449 W. King St.
A cast of five women and four men aged 20-60 is needed. Auditions consist of cold readings from the script. Script copies are available for checkout at the Brewery Arts Center office for a deposit of $10.

Alzheimer's Association to hold luncheon seminar
The Alzheimer's Association will be holding a free luncheon seminar from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Merrill Gardens at Gardnerville, 1565A Virginia Ranch Road.
Participants will learn tips for improving memory and information on age-related memory loss and some of the newest treatment approaches for Alzheimer's prevention, diagnoses and treatment. RSVP at 782-3100.

Male responsibility for parenting forum held Wednesday
The Maternal and Child Coalition's Teen Pregnancy Committee will be holding a forum on male parenting responsibility from 2:30-5 p.m. Wednesday at Renown Medical Center's Mack Auditorium.
There will be a male panel including teen fathers, a presentation on statistics regarding male involvement and teen pregnancy, and a presentation of male-responsibility programs.
