A graveside service for Dale Kleen, 74, a 10-year Gardnerville resident, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.

Mr. Kleen died Jan. 12, 2007, at his home.

He was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Georgetown, Texas.

Before moving to Gardnerville, Mr. Kleen lived in Escondido, Calif.

He worked for the Pacific Telephone Co. before his retirement. He had served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He enjoyed traveling in recreational vehicles, and fishing.

Among his survivors are his wife, Lelia Kleen of Gardnerville; sons Matthew Kleen of Southern California and Darin Kleen of Dayton; daughter, Jan Kleen of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Lora Fox of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
