A cast of youngsters 6 to 16 plays all the parts in this tongue-in-cheek tribute to the 1920s gangster flick. This wacky musical includes a child's dream come true: a nonviolent gang war fought with "splurge blasters" which spew forth Silly String.

"Bugsy Malone Jr." opens 7 p.m. Friday in the Donald W. Reynolds Theatre at the Brewery, 449 W. King St. Performances continue with shows at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for BAC members, seniors, students and kids.
