A graveside service for former Carson City resident Mary A. Zuniga, 86, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Zuniga died Jan. 15, 2007, in Peoria, Ariz. She was born July 22, 1920, in Riverside, Calif., to Bernardino and Theodora Alcaraz.
Mrs. Zuniga moved to Surprise, Ariz., in 2005. Prior to that she lived in Carson City from 1980 to 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cooking.
She was a Catholic, and was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Zuniga, in 1992.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Alyce and Rick Baldwin of Surprise; sister, Mercy Guerrero of Riverside; brother, Thomas Alcaraz of Riverside; and three grandchildren.
Burial will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
