First lady Dawn Gibbons will be wearing a Bordeaux velvet gown, designed by Giorgio Armani to the Inaugural Balls in Las Vegas and Reno. The Las Vegas event will be Jan. 26 at The Venetian. The Reno ball will be Jan. 30 at the Silver Legacy.
The gown is strapless and has organza detail around the bust line with a matching velvet jacket highlighted in white silk satin and pleated collar.
The first lady purchased the gown at the Giorgio Armani-Bellagio boutique in Las Vegas. Following tradition, the gown will be donated to the Nevada State Museum for its First Ladies' Collection.
Gibbons will also be wearing a white gold and diamond necklace and earrings on loan from the Chopard Boutique at the Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas. They're from the "Happy Spirit" collection.
