A memorial service for Marjorie S. Stone, 83, a 16-month Carson City resident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Highway 208 in Yerington. A reception will follow the service at the Tribal Gym on Campbell Lane in Yerington.

Mrs. Stone died Jan. 21, 2007, at her daughters' house in Carson City. She was born Sept. 21, 1923, in Richmond, Nev., to Dave Stevens and Mae Hamilton Stevens.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Stone lived in Yerington and Hawthorne.

She worked at the Hawthorne Naval Ammunition Depot for 30 years before retirement.

She enjoyed shopping, word puzzles, soap operas, watching basketball and baseball games, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Stone; sisters Violet Tom, Pauline Johnson, Sharon Stahl, Janet Hull and Ramona Emm; and brothers Archie and Delmar Stevens.

Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Robert Sargent; sister Arlene Benjamin; brother Thomas Benjamin; a grandson; and a great grand-daughter.

Burial will take place at the Valley View Cemetery in Yerington. Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington is in charge of arrangements.
