A memorial Mass for Ernest P. Bacheller Jr., 85, a 15-year Carson City resident, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mr. Bacheller died Jan. 30, 2007, in Carson City. He was born April 20, 1921, in Avon, Maine, to Ernest P. and Hildred Bacheller.

He married Jeanette Bacheller on Feb. 17, 1947, in North Conway, N.H.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Bacheller lived in San Mateo, Calif., for 35 years.

He was the lead sheet metal mechanic for United Airlines for 35 years, and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; son Patrick Bacheller of San Francisco; son and daughter-in-law Ernie and Kris Bacheller of San Jose, Calif.; daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and Dave McIntyre of Brentwood, Calif., Judy and Rodney Green of Fairfield, Calif., and Sherry and Jim Crance of Carson City; sister, Frances Coro of Thompson, Maine; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
