Four Northern Nevada Soccer players were recently selected to attend regional camp at the University of Idaho as part of the Olympic Development Program, also known as ODP.

At the regional camp, they trained with more than 150 of the best players in their age group from California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. They were Maggie Boucher and Kenzie Tillitt of the Nevada Net Rippers, Daryn Marsh of the RSU Crush Premier, and Katie Dry of the Carson Valley Net Rippers.

The four girls were selected to the ODP District program last August. Since then they have continued to train with their respective club programs while periodically working out with their ODP teammates.

Once selected to the District Team, they were eligible to travel to Las Vegas to tryout for the Nevada State ODP team in December and February. The four were selected along with 14 Las Vegas area players to represent Nevada at an ODP tournament in Orem, Utah as well as the regional camp in Idaho.

Tryouts for the 2007/2008 ODP District Program will be in late July and early August at Reno's South Valley Sports Complex. For more information contact the Northern ODP director at odpnorth@hotmail.com.
