The Pine Nut Mountains Trails Association will be hosting a cleanup and trash removal at the east end of Johnson Lane in Douglas County on Saturday, July 14, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be signs at the end of Johnson Lane (where it turns to dirt) leading you to the trash dumpsters. The road is graded dirt and most cars will make it out to the dumpsters.

If you would like to volunteer, bring water, snacks, gloves, good work shoes or boots (no flip flops!), trash bags and shovel.

If you have a truck and trailer or backhoe/loader, you are asked to bring it out. They will be removing abandoned cars so car hauler trailers are needed.

From Carson City go south on U.S. 395, turn east onto Johnson Lane, and then at the end of Johnson Lane, turn north to reach the riding area.

They will be serving corn dogs and sodas for lunch around noon.
