A celebration of life for Harry Gordon Thompson, 47, a six-year Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, corner of Fifth and Garrison streets in Winnemucca.

Mr. Thompson died July 6, 2007, in Reno.

He was born Aug. 16, 1959, in Weiser, Idaho, to Harry C. and Nellie J. Thompson. He was raised and attended schools in Ruth and Ely. He spent much of his career in the gold mining industry. He was a San Francisco 49ers fan and collector and also enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

He was preceded in death by son James E. Legg and his parents.

Among his survivors are his wife, Rose, of Carson City; daughters and sons-in-law Heather and Keith LeBrun, Garilee and Mickey Gustafson, Nicole and Matt Thompson-Livingston, Alisha and Jim Thompson; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Melissa Thompson; son Jeromy Thompson; brothers and sisters-in-law Karl and Sylvia Thompson and Marlene and Jim Walker; sisters and brothers-in-law Martele and Loren Adams, Abbey and Gary Berg-Swope; sisters Nancy Dickson, Doris Vanzee, Judy Thompson; 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will follow the service.

Truckee Meadows Cremation and Burial is in charge of arrangements.
