A funeral service and burial for Ruth F. Lopez, 72, a seven-year resident of Carson City, will be Friday at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park in San Jose, Calif. Visitation will be Thursday.
Mrs. Lopez died on July 11, 2007, in Carson City.
She was born July 3, 1935, to Gabriel Felix and Rita Caballero in Mexicali, Mexico.
She lived in San Jose for 65 years. She was a cashier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Lopez.
Among her survivors are her sons Rudy E. and Vincent M. Contreras, both of San Jose; daughter, Cathie A. Gitthens of Carson City; brothers Ruben Moreno, Rito, Raymond and David Hernandez and sisters Rosie, Sally and Lucy Hernandez, all of San Jose; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
