The Carson 14-year-old all-star baseball team was eliminated from the State Babe Ruth Tournament in an 8-1 loss to Sparks on Tuesday in Reno.
Carson's only run came in the first inning when Austin Law drove in Bryce Altus after Altus had doubled. Clay Holton relieved in the first inning and allowed five runs on nine hits while striking out five and walking one over 6.2 innings. Josh Richmond hit two solo home runs and added an RBI single for three RBI for Sparks.
