Hot August Nights venue hosts family-friendly events in south Reno

This Hot August Nights, The Summit Sierra is the place to be in south Reno. The shopping center is an official host of Hot August Nights with a full line-up of activities beginning Wednesday through Aug. 11.

As the popularity of Hot August Nights continues to increase each year, so does the waiting list to be an official participant in the annual event. The Summit is pleased to announce that more than 100 of the cars on display will be "unregistered," which allows locals and visitors on the Hot August Nights waiting list a place to show their car and participate in Hot August Nights this year - several are first-time participants.

In addition to an array of free events and activities, the Summit is also offering a chance to win a $500 Summit gift card. Visitors can register to win before Aug. 9 at the following locations: Levi's, Orvis, Starbucks and Tin Star.

Wednesday 6-8 p.m.

Cruise Night

Join KODS 103.7 FM The River for a live radio remote.

Aug. 3, 5-9 p.m.

Show-n-Shine Dance Party

The Summit is proud to be the official host of the Show-n-Shine Dance Party featuring live entertainment, dancing and show-n-shine awards. The Vibra Tones take the stage between Van's and Tilly's at 5 p.m.

People's Choice Awards Competition

With more than 100 classic cars registered, The Summit will host a Customer's Choice Award for best car. The grand prize is a $500 shopping spree at The Summit and awards will also be given for:

In addition to all the classic vehicles that will be on display at The Summit, vintage trucks will also be on display only at The Summit.
