A Carson City man remained in custody Monday, accused of rubbing the thigh of a 7-year-old girl.

Jorge Cabrera Camara, 29, was booked into the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony open and gross lewdness and gross misdemeanor unlawful contact with a child.

According to the arrest report, a 7-year-old girl told her mother that as she was riding her bike on Kansas Street about 7:30 p.m. Saturday a dog started to chase her.

Camara, the owner of the dog, allegedly told the girl to come into his house where he kept the dog's "house." When the girl said no, he "talked (her) into" it.

Once the girl and dog were inside, Camara allegedly began to rub the girl's thighs. The girl allegedly pushed his hands away, then ran out of the house. By the time she got home, the child was crying, her mother told police.

After her daughter showed her where he lived, the mother said, she went to confront Camara as he drank beer on his front porch. He denied the allegation and the mother then reported the incident to police.

According to the arrest report, the child told an investigator Camara "had no right to touch her and she wanted him to go to jail."

During an interview with detectives, Camara allegedly denied touching the girl sexually and explained he only touched her to keep his dog away from her.

His bail is set at $20,000.
