Name: John Rew

Position: The Bike Doctor

How he started the business: He's always liked bikes. He tried to start a business before, but it didn't work. After that, he put himself through a bicycle mechanics school because he was determined to do what he loved. "Before I could ride bikes," he said. "I was pushing them."

What kind of riding he does himself: Road and off-road cycling. He's been on the annual 129-mile tour of the California Alps seven times. It's called the Death Ride. "Most of the guys are in their 30s and they're zooming past me," he said. He's 52

First job: Bagging groceries at a store Reno when he was 18.

Other hobbies: Camping and spending time with his family.

Family: Wife, five children and four grandchildren.

Best business advice he's heard: Do everything as unto the Lord. "Straight out of Scripture," he said.

Heroes: Lance Armstrong and his father. His father because "he personified hard work and honesty."

What he would do with $10 million: Give $1 million of it to his family and the rest to those in need.
