Carson City Library's annual Kiwanis Breakfast for Books is fun for the entire family. On the menu will be pancakes, sausage, eggs, juice and coffee served hot by Kiwanis of Carson City.

Entertainment for children will include reading to therapy dogs and face painting, also a great book sale. Thanks to the wonderful donation from Slot World and all the volunteers from the club all the proceeds go to benefit the Youth Department of the Library.

The theme for this year's 4-H Camp is "Special Agent - 004-H." If you are looking for a great camp with a variety of educational activities and experiences, check into this one. Campers will enjoy the opportunity to develop the four "H's" - Head, Heart, Hands and Health.

Male adult chaperone 18 or older are still needed. If you are interested please give a call.

4-H Camp

WHAT: University of Nevada Reno Cooperative Extension 4-H Camp for children 8-12

WHEN: July 15-21; Deadline for registration is Friday

WHERE: Lake Tahoe

COST: $200 per camper, includes all meals, lodging camp T-shirt and a camp photo.

Summer is almost here, and basketball camp is right around the corner with a slam dunk of exercise and fun for boys and girls.

The camp, for children entering grades fifth through ninth, consists of daily instruction and demonstrations on basketball fundamentals, group activities, and games. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt.
