Comstock Typeslingers and Sagebrush Journalists exhibit, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, Historic Fourth Ward School, 537 S. C St. The long tradition of newspaper publishing on the Comstock is marked by the early typeslingers who later became noted journalists such as Mark Twain, Dan DeQuille, Alf Doten, Wells Drury, Joe Goodman, Denis McCarthy, Fred Hart, Alf Chartz, Arthur McEwen, Lyin' Jim Townsend and Sam Davis. Exhibit features Victorian mourning items, undertaking equipment and documents used in researching the history and landscape of the various cemeteries in Virginia City and Gold Hill.
