It's no surprise that All-American Nick Fazekas has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches District 13 first team for the University of Nevada in men's basketball.
There were 150 players from across the country who were named to the first and second teams in 15 districts. Fazekas is now eligible to be named to the NABC All-American team at the end of the season.
Fazekas was averaging 20.9 points and 11.4 rebounds heading into Thursday's game at Utah State. Fazekas is also up for several Player of the Year honors.
He was joined on the District 13 first team by San Diego State's Brandon Heath, Colorado State's Jason Smith, Air Force's Dan Nwaelele and Brighan Young's Kenna Young. Boise State's Cobi Karl was named to the second team.
