Georgia C. Yandell

Georgia C. Yandell, 79, a Gardnerville resident since 1974, died March 3, 2007, in Gardnerville.

Mrs. Yandell was born Dec. 21, 1927, in Petaluma, Calif., to George and Blanche Batchelder.

Before moving to Gardnerville, Mrs. Yandell lived at South Lake Tahoe.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, stitchwork, outdoor activities, gardening and breeding animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Yandell, in 1981; son Richard Hill and brother Douglas Batchelder.

Among her survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law George and Michelle Hill, and William and Lori Hill, all of Gardnerville; daughters Karen Yandell of Gardnerville and Carol Yandell of Carson City; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and one on the way.

Burial will take place at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
