NSP inmate found dead in cell

A prison inmate was found dead Friday morning, according to a press release from the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Grant Cracraft, whose age was not provided, was discovered in his cell at the Nevada State Prison on East Fifth Street in Carson City.

"At this time, the cause of death remains undetermined," the release states.

Cracraft was serving a sentence of five to 15 years on a charge of attempted sexual assault of a victim under 16 out of Clark County. He began serving his sentence in October of 2001.

"This event remains under investigation by the Office of the Inspector General and the Investigation Division of the Nevada Department of Public Safety. Further details will be available at the conclusion of the investigation," the release reads.
