20-30 Club guest bartends for charity Saturday night


The Carson City 20-30 Club will be guest bartending at D'Vine Wine and Bistro from 5-8 p.m. Saturday. All tips collected will go towards helping underprivileged youth in Carson City. Greenhouse Garden Center to hold free seminar on Saturday


A seminar entitled "Growing Your Soil For Spring and Making Compost" will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Greenhouse Garden Center. Class will be held outdoors. Call 882-8600.


Pow wow this weekend


The Spring Awakening Pow Wow Health Fair will be held from noon-10 p.m. Saturday at the Carson Colony Gym. There will be many events and a raffle, as well as free health information and Indian Tacos for sale. Call 841-3182.


Free gardening workshop on seeds is Saturday


The UNR Cooperative Extension will be offering a free gardening workshop in Carson City entitled "Starting Seeds for Transplanting" from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the UNR Cooperative Extension office, 2621 Northgate Lane Suite 12. Call 887-2252.


Emblem Club to hold St. Patrick's Day dinner for local charities


The Carson City Emblem Club will be holding it's annual St. Patrick's Day Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Elks Lodge, 515 N. Nevada St. to raise money for local charities.


Cost for the dinner is $8 and features corned beef and cabbage, and trimmings. Call 882-8874 or 883-4773.

Silver Knights club plans informational meeting


The Silver Knights Motorcycle Club, a nonprofit club made up of peace officers, firefighters, military and search and rescue personnel, but not limited to those fields, is holding an informational meeting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sharkey's in Gardnerville. Call 265-6998.


Saturday Stories with Miss Carol at the Douglas library


The Douglas County Public Library at Lake Tahoe, 233 Warrior Way, Zephyr Cove, will be holding Saturday Stories and Crafts at 3 p.m. Saturday, in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Children ages 3 and up will use stickers, glitter and glue to decorate their craft. Young children should be accompanied by an adult. Everyone is invited to wear green. Call 588-6411.


DAWG dog adoption is Saturday at Petco


There will be a "Lucky Dog" adoption in honor of St. Patrick's Day from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Petco. Call 267-7325 or visit www.dawgrescue.com.


Young at Heart to hold 'members only' bingo


The Young at Heart Senior Citizens Club will be holding a membership only bingo game at noon Saturday at the Douglas County Senior Citizens Center. Only members may play. Membership dues are $3 per year and may be paid at the senior center. All Young at Heart members get free bingo cash. Call 783-6455.
