Branden Dalton was the low score medalist, firing a 68 to lead Fernley High to a second place finish in a Northern 3A golf tournament on Friday at the Golf Club at Fernley.
Fernley finished just two strokes behind champion Truckee as the Wolverines finished with a 399 while the Vaqueros finished with a 401. Yerington's Vinnie Arrighi finished fourth with a 75.
Dalton won the event by five strokes as Lowry's Joey Dendary was second with a 73. Other top golfers for Fernley were Kyle Thompson with a 79 and Kevin Leestman with an 80. Dayton's top golfer was Andrew Palmer, who shot an 81.
