Katherine Marie Gooding and Michael Alexander Ramey have announced their engagement.
Katherine is the daughter of James and Anne Gooding of Carson City. She is a 1999 graduate of Carson High School and a 2003 graduate of Southern Oregon University, Ashland, where she received a bachelor's degree in communications. Katherine is a television news producer for KGW Northwest News Channel 8, the NBC affiliate in Portland, Ore.
Michael is the son of Donald K. Ramey and the late Karen L. Ramey of Portland. He is a 1999 graduate of Portland Community College, Portland, where he received a degree in television production. Michael is a television news director for KPTV, the Fox affiliate in Portland.
Katherine and Michael plan to marry April 2008 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Portland.
