Sheriffs' log

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 22-year-old mixer from Carson City was arrested at 10:40 a.m. Sunday at Goni Road and Arrowhead Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Bail was set at $2,896.

• A 20-year-old Carson City resident was arrested at 9:20 p.m. Saturday at David and Moody streets on suspicion of misdemeanor criminal contempt. Bail was set at $500 cash.

• A 25-year-old childcare worker from Carson City was arrested at 10:59 p.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Hot Springs Road on suspicion of misdemeanor petit larceny. Bail was set at $382.

• A 21-year-old painter from Carson City was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Saturday at Northgate Lane and Hot Springs Road on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving and failure to appear. Bail was set at $1,626.

• A 26-year-old heavy equipment operator from Sparks was arrested at 4:55 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Overland Loop on suspicion of reckless driving with wanton disregard, no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance, no helmet or eye protection. Bail was set at $2,078.

• A 49-year-old unemployed transient was arrested at 2:02 p.m. Saturday in the 8500 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence. Bail was set at $1,000 cash.

Lyon County

The following are some of the 214 calls to which deputies responded:

• A report of a drunk driver at Roundabout in Fernley at 1:59 a.m. Saturday. A misdemeanor arrest was made.

• A report of a domestic dispute in the 40 block of Toza Drive on tribal land at 4:42 a.m. Saturday. A misdemeanor arrest was made.

• A report of a drunk driver on Highway 95A in Silver Springs at 7:47 p.m. Saturday. A misdemeanor arrest was made.

• A report of a drunk driver on Citrus Street in Silver Springs at 8:33 p.m. Saturday. A misdemeanor arrest was made.

Storey County

The following are some of the 21 calls to which deputies responded:

• A report of someone shooting a high-powered rifle from an SUV on Canyon Way at 10:27 a.m. Saturday.

• A report of a stray dog walking in and out of traffic near the Delta Saloon in Virginia City at 12:06 p.m. Saturday.
