Brittany Curtis pitched a complete game, one-hit shutout for the Dayton High softball team in its 10-0 win over Whittell on Wednesday.
Curtis struck out 11 and walked two in the game that was called after six innings due to the mercy rule. Curtis also helped her own cause by going 2-for-3 with a run.
In addition for Dayton (5-4), Sierra Barnwell had a double, run and two RBI, Brittany Hill was 2-for-4 with three runs and an RBI, Breann DeHaven ws 2-for-4 with a run, double and two RBI, Sara Simmons had a double and a run, Amanda Beard had a hit, two runs and an RBI and Nicole Iratcabal had a hit and a run.
